Hi David, Seems an 'academic' came up with that idea also, and he's clearly got no knowledge of actual radio transmission, or of signal power transfer characteristics. Let's take that North Battleford case, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DcpJEVNX27g http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NBzSALEg3sw as there are good witness statements and official confirmations available on Youtube. Enough audio [mechanical] power was received over a large area of houses to vibrate the buildings' frames and to make loud noises both indoors and out in the open air (in this other Germany case" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNql-wSfM0A the second or third blast was strong enough to set off several cars' tremblor alarms). We can estimate that the actual power involved was at least in the high mega-watts, and probably much higher if the affected area's true size was known. Any local 'antenna' picking up that much electro-magnetic signal power and trying to convert it to mechanical movement - i.e. audio o/p or physical vibration through the ground, would have instantly burnt out, unless it was of a massive, purposely-built construction. So sorry, although the solar radiation idea would at least give us a credible source for all that power, actually receiving it via an 'antenna', as audio or mechanical vibration seems technically impossible in all general cases. That's quite apart from the fact that the earliest typical noises I can find date from August 11, 2009: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4DpHkWuOmQ well before the recent solar 'storm', as were the many 2011 cases Florida, March, 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VvnHyU8e1c8 New Jersey, Saturday May 21st 2011: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bju3pHUL45w Cheers Ray D Listen to 'Strange Days...
