I'm listening to a radio commentator here who is talking about access to public information in the United States. He is saying that the way to get public records that has teeth is to make a "Public Records Act" request, instead of a Freedom of Information Act request. He says that an FOIA request is little more than a "pretty please" request, but a Public Records Act request can be enforceable by the sheriff. He says that a Public Records Act request is made with a list of specific questions which the public agency must answer under penalty of law. I personally know _nothing_ about law, but if this is somewhere near true, it might have application in the UFO research field, I would think. Eleanor White Listen to 'Strange Days...
