Hi, List,

Thanks for catching that, Diana. I received the phony request
for emergency funds, and thought it most odd. I suspect a virus
or trojan may have been used to send out this bogus message by
infecting V-J's email address book, since it's personalized.
Clever, nasty attack. Note the email contact address is nearly
the same as the real one, only with two letters transposed.

The two phone numbers are also a tipoff -- google the first 7
digits along with the word scam and you can see a plethora of
similar frauds using those prefix digits--44 also happens to be
the telephone country code for the U.K. Sorry if this has caused
Vincente-Juan any grief. He's a good guy, IMHO.
