I remember many, many a night in the newsroom when the police/fire scanner would report an accident or someone run off the road by a UFO. There would be people complaining about it all over the place. I remember many a night having to calm some folks down including several police and military who would be shaken up from such traffic encounters. It was one of the main reasons I started complaining and looking into the phenomenon. Either a UFO would swoop over, beam a light, almost sideswipe a vehicle or they would appear right over the roads and startle people. On other occasions people would stop their vehicles in the streets or pull over to the side of the roads. This caused many problems regarding safety. Sometimes it would be funny to see these people pile into the newspaper or the bars or the police station or even the Troop K State Trooper's HQ, shaking and sweating. I remember times when friends would come knocking on my door at night, rush in and fall on the floor scared to death and we'd have to break out the scotch to calm them down. It really was a big problem back in the '80s and '90s. Best, Greg ufomafia.com/blog Listen to 'Strange Days...
