Nor does "spiritual" need to be denigrated or misrepresented as
anti-science or a watered down synonym for religion.

I'm working on a book about the nexus of science and
spirituality, with a special emphasis on the mysticism
experiments with psilocybin at Johns Hopkins.

More and more scientists are open to investigating spiritual
impulses and experiences, and human history attests to the very
positive and life-changing benefits that can be attributed to
spiritual/mystical experiences.
