I like Shirley MacLaine, but her interest in the field is from the 'New Age' side of this field, which there are many among us who really wish would go away. I would note that on her web site she has links and information related to Astrology, but UFOs remains buried. I was able to find her list of recommended UFO readings, which include: Exoconsciousness Your 21st Century Mind By Rebecca Hardcastle Exopolitics Political Implications Of The Extraterrestrial Presence According to Dr. Michael Salla and many other experts in the field of ET research, for almost 70 years the US government has engaged in an extensive "official effort" of disinformation, intimidation and tampering with evidence in order to maintain a non-disclosure policy about extraterrestrial presence. Secrets in the Fields The Science and Mysticism of Crop Circles by Freddy Silva The ET-Human Link We are the Message By Dana Redfield The Gathering Meetings in Higher Space By William Gammill The Phoenix Lights A Skeptic's Discovery that We Are Not Alone By Lynne D. Kitei, M.D. UFO's and the National Security State Chronology of a Cover-Up: 1941-1973 by Richard M. Dolan Unconventional Flying Objects A Scientific Analysis by Paul R. Hill ============ The only two that I have owned are the last two, and I would be surprised if Shirley actually got through the Paul Hill publication, which is fairly technical in nature. I think the first three say a lot about her general mindset. As far as Kucinich's UFO sighting is concerned, it's an interesting side note, but it didn't really change the debate or add new information for ufology. The same is true for the two former Presidents, whose sightings have become public and described at length in the media. I also believe that the Kucinich outing has little impact on the political outcome, except to add a bit of the giggle factor to his campaign. In my mind Shirley MacLaine is right up there with Jackie Gleason, who also had a deep-seated belief in alien visitation, among those who are high in the Entertainment Industry.
