Subject: Recommendation? Why Delanoy's Paper?

Experimental Evidence Suggestive of Anomalous Consciousness
Interactions by Deborah Delanoy

Recommended by John Rimmer(I think??)

My comment: what a waste of everybody's time. Good thing I read
most of the papers cited in the reference because Delanoy's
article shows a decline in the education system. No original
work. Just using the already published research and pretending
to analyze it. Yeah, yeah, I know she provides the criteria for
her _statistical_ analysis. It is the statistical analysis of
analysis. As if that is somehow relevant to the research under
discussion. The only positive comment I can make: It is a very
professional looking paper.

The really interesting thing about this article is that John
considered it important. The article does mirror how data is
being published within the UFO community. I would call it: good
old reliable rehash. No new opinions. No new research. Just a
revised collection of the same old cases. The new aspect: yet,
another ufo researcher adds their name in support of a possible
hoax without digging into the story behind the data.

Thanks John. I am now know there has been a failure of teaching
critical thinking on both sides of the Atlantic.
