His valuable contribution to the subject largely involved the translation of reports from foreign language sources. Most of the rest of his work consisted of what has been described as "idle speculation" and "armhair ufology". While he was editor of FSR, Charles Bowen described Creighton to a colleague of mine as "an awfully nice chap but nutty as a fruit cake".
