I listened to every word during the three hours. Yes, in the course of the three hour show you and the others did allow for the possibility of genuinely paranormal explanations. But in the last few minutes of the show, all four of you summed up your recommendations and made it absolutely clear that at least the first thing an abductee needs to do is see a mental health professional. That finale was very emphatic. That is what triggered my post. That, and a knowledge of how psychiatrists treat reports out of the ordinary as delusion, without having the expertise to know what they are talking about. In situations totally beyond their training and experience. Personally, I think a psychiatrist is the very _last_ person an abductee should consult, and then _only_ if there are pressing symptoms of behaviour which threaten harm to the abductee or others. In my organized stalking/electronic harassment community, dozens of people I know have been brutalized and forced into psychiatric 'care' for merely reporting they are being stalked by groups, (reported as about one case in eight in official justice statistics for the U.S., Canada and the UK) or are experiencing remotely inflicted assaults, which could be done using well proven electronic technology. Just automatically, these people have been locked up, shot full of drugs with dangerous side effects, thoroughly discredited, and often have had their careers ended. All for reporting a crime. So to hear a chorus of noted UFO/paranormal commentators, after giving lip service to possible genuinely paranormal explanations for abductee experiences, chime in emphatically in conclusion with unanimous see-a-psychiatrist advice, was a bit much.
