I didn't pick a fight with Salas. He made the comments to me and I didn't appreciate either the tone or the timing. If he was annoyed at my interaction with those who came to our table, then the appropriate time to mention it was when no one was around. I certainly could understand that. And when I suggested that I was merely attempting to help him, he did not have to make another rude comment. The instigator here was Salas and not me. You will notice that I did not comment on his UFO tale. Robert Hastings has told me that Salas was a big help with Hastings' research. >I have just read Kevin's account at his blog on the Roswell >Festival. >First, thank you Kevin, for your effort, but I have two comments >to make... >First, I have met Robert Salas in 2007 at the X Conference, and >I remember a man who was friendly and modest. At the panel >before the press in Washington, he was staying behind the other >speakers, including me. I told him to come in front but he >did'nt! This does not square with your opinon of him. All I can say is that I have published what I believe to be a fair account of this minor dust up... Maybe he was in a bad mood for whatever reason. I can only tell you that I didn't appreciate the way he handled this rather minor situation. >My second remark is about Frank Kimbler. I had been advised to >listen to his interview with Alejandro Rojas on openminds.tv. , >which I have just done. It is a very interesting interview, and >your brief mention of him, who was present at he panel of the >Roswell Museum, does not reflect that. >His findings of small fragments at the debris field, and the >first study made at New Mexico Tech, seem promising, and there >is a lot to say already about that. If I understand well, that >first analysis has given an isotopic ratio of aluminim different >from what exits normally on Earth. >Frank Kimbler seems very careful and professional and he says >he is trying now, with the Roswell Museum, to have the results >confirmed by other labs. >I memember that the Museum obtained such a study at Los Alamos, >for a fragment which turned out to be a piece of jewelry, so >let's remain patient and wait for further results. But I find >this new research quite interesting already. >Would you make another comment here, Kevin? I only mentioned Frank in passing because we don't have the results of the analyses yet. I spent quite a bit of time with Frank. We share many of the same interests including lost gold mines and meteors. He even provided me with what he believes to be the coordinates of the Lost Adams (which was well described in "McKenna's Gold" starring Gregory Peck). I await additional information before I post anything on my blog about his research... besides, I remember the 1997 stir around the debris analyzed by Russell Vernon Clark and my discussions with him about the debris. Frank seems to be better grounded in his research but it has not been completed so I wait. Kevin Listen to 'Strange Days...
