I think that's a point, Gerald, but surely a minor one. It fails to explain the condescending references (not just on this List but broadly throughout ufology) to Jacobsen by her first name - as if she were a child - when male Roswell researchers of any vintage are called (sometimes in the same sentence) by their last. I gently noted this practice in the hope that writers who used it unthinkingly would notice and cease doing it. I didn't expect a thunderingly defensive response. Actually, I thought I'd said something so obviously true that it would generate no controversy whatever. The last thing I thought was that it would actually make somebody mad.
