Interesting idea, although it seems like such a correlation
(ball lightning associated with recent passage of a meteor)
would have been noted observationally by now, if indeed meteors
are a dominant mechanism of formation.

What I found even more interesting, if not obviously related to
atmospheric phenomena, is the "air threads" phenomenon he
references, which is described in more detail at
