Hello Carol,

Yup, although tongue-in-cheek was hoping (as always) to prompt
some actual 'scientific' analysis.

Like - what circular wind-speeds are necessary to pick up a
bunch of spherical, fairly dense things like apples? (Or quarry
stones?)  Does that happen (apart from the rarely recorded
tornadoes) regularly around UK?

And does a local 'whirlwind' have the energy (and time) to do
mass/size 'sorting' of objects in the column?

That last is because 'falls' always seem to be of one type and
size of object/life-form.
