The sole comment after the article suggests the lights are
chinese lanterns, but the pictures of such I've seen show them
as somewhat elongated. These objects are spherical as far as I
can tell. I suggest they are candidates for man-made orbs.

The color is just about right for a plasma made of nitrogen gas.

I discussed the evidence that this is now possible to do in a
recent post.

This video would add New Zealand or perhaps Australia to the
places where this research may be going on.
