Wouldn't it be great if we males could fall back on that cop-out excuse for just plain not having the chops for the job at hand? I am being picked on and singled out because I am a man. Do you know that in the book industry you still get this same nonsense about the female gender being held back when in fact the publishing industry is dominated by females. Check the book racks in the stores; Google up agents and publisher's editors. The reason for this is because females read more fiction than males to the tune of about 85-90 percent while males read non- fiction at about 60%. J.K. Rowling was able to get more male children to read her books at some 45% and that trend in fiction might translate through to older male readers. Kathy you will sometime soon have to accept that you get slammed because you seem unable to do minimal research with any degree of accuracy. You find it easier to debunk just about anything because it is easy to debunk. You take the path of least resistance in every case. >I usually put it down to a basic fear of male retribution. I >imagine this is the dynamics within a Mormon household where >there is more more than one wife. Best to keep one's head down >and don't challenge the master. Again with the same argument. It is a cop-out. There have been plenty of great female researchers in this field, basically from day one. Coral Lorenzen comes to mind. You can Google her, Kathy. You might learn something. >BTW, I haven't been reading the e-mails so I didn't know there >was a hue and cry to toss me off the List. My reason for sending >this e-mail to you directly if Errol has bent to pressure for a >couple of people. If there is a hue and cry to toss you off the List it is probably because the rest of the listers are tired of your inane yapping or your ability to align yourself with some of the dumber explanations for the phenomenon while using your favorite argument that no matter how stupid the explanation for the UFO phenomenon that this is someone who is thinking outside of the box. Sometimes you can attribute thinking outside of the box to people who's thought processes are so skewed that they can't keep anything in a box to begin with. Now you are veering from that argument to your being picked on because you are a woman. I don't think Errol has banned anyone because they could not get their act together. As for Fife Symington, he was another politician who used his position of influence to make money. Apparently it didn't work out _but_ he never went to prison. Most of the charges against him were either hung juries, or not guilty but he was found guilty on several counts, had to pay huge fines and then was pardoned by Bill Clinton. He might have been arrested and spent a few hours in jail until his bail hearing - but that was it. Symington has never made a nickel off of his Phoenix sighting claim - if anything it has probably further damaged an already damaged reputation. Claiming that you know better because you are from Arizona doesn't cut it. Again, do your homework. Don Ledger Listen to 'Strange Days...
