The co-editor >not only rejects the allegations with very solid information, as >he gives new details of the case that are barely known to the >World UFO Community. I have read the recent articles, and found absolutely no new information regarding the Trindade Case. It's basically just a long rant against Alexandre Borges' interview with Barauna's nephew. It's also outdated. Most importantly, it completely ignores the statements by the two crewmembers on board at the moment of the sighting. There are also many other factual errors and outdated info, such as failing to recognize the Navy report was first published by APRO, and that the Argentinean republishing of said report by Ojea was -- as Martin Shough helped me sort out -- actually a Spanish translation of APRO's translation (which means it was translated thrice, from Portuguese to English, then to Spanish, then back to Portuguese, the version which circulates now in Brazil). >His 18-page article also contains details of the real role of >the former president Juscelino Kubitschek in the releasing of >the Barauna photos to the press, much different of what is >generally assumed. No news here either. We already knew that version of how Kubitschek leaked the photos to a newspaper that supported him. Petit himself is selling the video interview where Barauna tells that story for many years already. >The whole material is being translated into English and Spanish >at this moment and will be published here when ready. I hope that our fellows abroad will be able to see for themselves what I wanted to anticipate: there's no new information from Petit, or in any of the associated articles on Trindade published on that issue. On the contrary, it's outdated and inaccurate. There's also an article by co-editor Claudeir Covo, actually just a republishing of his article on Trindade published several years ago. And the most important thing is the update Covo added at the end, stating that the new information on the case led him to completely reevaluate his previous assessment of the case.
