I had the pleasure of having him speak at various conferences that I organised in the UK plus I shared the platform with him at conferences in the USA and Europe. Budd was even a guest at my home once here in West Yorkshire. It goes without saying that I have read all of his books. For me 'Missing Time', his first book, was his best. His last book 'Art, Life & UFOs' I read in one sitting. I remember well when I was seriously ill and thinking that I'd not wasted my life. The very same thing came to me when I read Budd's last book. He had certainly had a full and interesting life. There are those who will not share his conclusions on the abduction phenomenon, but you can't doubt his passion for the subject. On top of all the accolades he will undoubtedly receive I can honestly say that whatever you may think of his abduction research, Budd was a very warm and friendly human being with a great sense of humour and he will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
