Hello List, "FBI destroyed thousands of UFO reports, 1949 memo reveals Agents routinely destroyed reports containing 'nothing of FBI interest' due to lack of filing space" www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/11/fbi-destroys-ufo-reports Maybe we should bear that in mind when anyone says that release of Gov't archives or F.o.I replies concerning UFOs (or anything thing else the establishment is sensitive about), are 'reliable' or 'significant' or even meaningful in any way. The fact is, Gov't (including bureaucrats & 'security') will hide anything they want - because they can. For instance, the incidence of corruption & criminality among police-chiefs and judges is routinely hidden - because they can. So all statistics on those subjects are drastically skewed. However Bayesian analysis - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayesian_average - shows a different picture (basically, say re: corrupt judges & police-chiefs, it allows you to posit "1 proven 'true' case represents c. 100 hidden 'true' cases", which is subjective yet more probably represents the reality).
