Hello Martin, Your wording is ambiguous. We all know that sunbeams emerging from a break in clouds will _appear_ fan-shaped, when they are in fact parallel. Identically, a meteor shower will _appear_ to fan out as they appraoch an observer, but that is the same optical illusion - they are in fact travelling (roughly) parallel. Therefore it is extremely unlikely that two members of a meteor shower could end up travelling mutually at right angles. And for those two paths to be able to converge and intersect (above a simultaneous eathquake and UFO sighting) is astronomically, ballistically, geometrically and statistically beyond belief. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ballistics Cheers Ray D Listen to 'Strange Days...
