Ray: I noticed that Chris Impey from the University of Arizona was mentioned in the article. He was commenting on the Vatican's interest in the search for life in the Universe. The Vatican maintains a staff of astronomers at the UofA in Tucson. I have put Chris Impey on my list to ask to speak to our Sonoran Astronomical Society meeting. We had a member of the Vatican's staff come and speak to us last year. It ended up being very controversial. The speaker brought up the subject of Intelligent Design and the discussion went on far into the night. Who knows what would happen if the subject was life on other planets.
