It was based on solid scientific research into this phenomena. After I finished writing the article and sent it off to the editor, I wondered to myself why mainstream press never discussed this very real ability of humans. It appeared the information would surface and then just plain disappear. Why, I wondered. What a remarkable human ability. Why wasn't it developed. Further research showed that just as soon as the information surfaced, someone, somewhere would disparage it and ridicule the ability. I have to ask myself, why this movie and why at this time. Col. John Alexander, of Human Potential fame, was a consultant to the film, Men Who Stare At Goats. Of all people, he knows the truth of the matter. However, someone, somewhere, decided to make fun of him. Oh well, I have to shrug and walk away. ----- Source: New York Times http://movies.nytimes.com/2009/11/06/movies/06themen.html Men Who Stare At Goats (2009} [Begin Quote] "There is a Lyn in Mr. Ronson's book, Lyn Buchanan, who wrote about his experience in Star Gate in The Seventh Sense: The Secrets of Remote Viewing as Told by a 'Psychic Spy' for the U.S. Military. If you think that sounds outlandish, consider that a document on the Central Intelligence Agency Web site claims that the Defense Intelligence Agency has a psychic center, and that the National Security Agency studies parapsychology."
