Let's see now, they saw a flash, felt a concussion and fell out
of their beds? Or they were marching along in their sleep and
were "awoken" by the flash and concussion? Then without any
directional data they quick-marched 200 meters down the mountain
and "quickly found the crash site?"

Pardon my skepticism but methinks this story is either badly
garbled, or a hoax is being played on Heseltine, who argues that
it must be true or why would the guy come to him. Uh, possibly
because of his gullibility?
