>Vatican Acknowledges ET Presence
>Monsignor Lac. Corrado Balducci

To be honest, Balducci is not the Vatican. Nor do such run-on,
convoluted, and muddled tirades constitute official statements
of the Roman Catholic Church. Perhaps one should attribute the
pretentious title more to Richard Boylan (Yikes!) than to
Balducci, however.

Whitley Strieber has reported at:

"Msgr. Balducci told me personally when I asked him about his
relationship to the Pope that he knows the Pope and is friendly
with him. When I asked him if the Pope was aware of his views on
UFOs, he said that they had not discussed the matter per se, but
had talked together about issues of demonology."

It's plain and simple: Balducci is clearly _not_ an official
Vatican spokesman on UFOs or concerning their alleged occupants
or intentions. The title given to the Balducci paper's title is
highly misleading and, I suspicion, deliberately deceptive.

Boylan makes the, IMO, idiotic statement in his preface, that
Balducci (in the paper), "...makes an air-tight case for the
reality and acceptability of Star Visitor contacts with humans".
I read the entire thing and it is not only not water-tight, but,
IMO, contains no scientifically acceptable 'water' (evidence of
ET visitation).

While the title, "Vatican Acknowledges ET Presence" can
justifiably be accused of intellectual dishonesty, the muddled
assortment of factoids and run-on drivel (n., stupid or
senseless talk) that Balducci shovels out in that "Guest
Editorial" should in no way be mistaken for an official church
announcement. Furthermore, Global Village News & Resources, P.O.
Box 10989, Asheville, NC. 29914, is absolutely not an official
mouthpiece for he church. :)

Unlike 'fundamentalist Christianity', the Roman Catholic Church
wisely acknowledges evolution and the possibility (and even the
likelihood) of life having evolved on other planets, but
Balducci's, IMO, muddled talk on the issue is typical of some of
his earlier statements and cannot be justifiably said to
represent Vatican confirmation of "ET Presence", to quote the
title. Acknowledging that physical ET life probably exists
somewhere, is a far cry from stating that it is visiting earth.
The Roman Catholic Church has acknowledged the former but has
taken no stand on the latter.
