Maybe it took a while to wake up some suit in Washington for
orders to stage a diversion? Perfectly feasible, given that we
are dealing with the military. Hell, it took 40 minutes for us
to scramble planes on 9/11!

I know how you feel about this case, Jim, and you and I have
talked, but I do still have nagging doubts about how long it
took for the MNG to take responsibility for the flare drop.
_That_ length of delay to me is what's less than credible.
