Hello Bruce, Barry, Don ...

I hope nobody here is suggesting that space aliens put on a
light show for the benefit of Phoenix, AZ.

The mis-direction idea (or diversion as the military say) might
have some merit, but I wouldn't put money on that either.

I suppose its possible that the military used flares or
something else to divert attention from some new Flying Triangle
technology they are playing with.

There were some murmurs of a large lighter-than-air craft that
sounds a lot like the FTs sometimes reported. Why they would
pick a major metropolis is beyond me, unless that's part of the
plan .. maybe something like Belgium in the 1980s .. to
calibrate its 'visibility'.

All that is sheer speculation on my part. What I really really
really doubt is that space aliens put on a light show for the
bored denizens of Phoenix, AZ.
