Frank, Dick, et al,

I have submitted three requests for funding... one directly to
Paul Allen, and two to the Allen Foundation... and the only
responses I have received have been polite rejection letters.

Given Allen's rumored interest in the subject of ufology, I do
not understand his failure to express public interest in the
subject. It seems ironic that he is willing to support the SETI
project, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars, but
apparently is not interested in supporting a similar search
within a hundred miles of our planet! It is an interesting
statement that Jimmy Hendricks and rock 'n roll music take
precedence over the question of alien presence on our planet!!

Interestingly, the Allen Foundation states that an organization
applying for funding MUST have 501 (C) 3 status as a federal
non-profit. However, when one answers the preliminary questions
on the Foundation website, indicating non-status in that
capacity, the response one receives is that of a qualifying
status!

I anticipate applying again, either to the Allen Foundation, or
to Allen directly, for funding for a specific project. I will
share the results with the list.
