However, in reading this, for whatever reason, I became aware of a worrisome possibilty. I worry that open contact with another intelligent race, might make humans more destructive. We might then say "The aliens will fix it!" and then go about some of our destructive ways, only with better tools given to us by Zork our friendly alien. Having aliens hold our hands doesn't seem the best way to grow. We tend to take for granted what we are given, and cherish more what we've earned. Just a new worry of mine. I'm all for getting an alien's help, this idea just popped in my mind, and I am now wondering if maybe that is why aliens don't make more of an open contact. They might know not to give fire to a baby maybe?
