I'm betting the odds makers in Vegas [is Nick the Greek still
alive?] if they were taking bets among the scientific
persuasions applicable to Mars's topography, environment etc.,
would find the odds heavily in favor of water on mars and either
microbial life or possibly [very] primative simple celled
animals or plant life. It certainly would not surprise me if
this proved to be so.

If NASA/JPL is playing it close to their chests, why? What's in
it for them?
