That tale of the green-skinned (foreign/alien) children is given


from Ralph (Abbot of Coggeshall 1207 - 1218) and added to by
William of Newbridge (another monk?) who says the girl survived
and married a local man - so fairly human-like at least (any

But, as you say, we have a now much older "green man" to check

erased or corrupted by christian priest and monks, who had a
monopoly of literacy for several hundred years.

However, there's some large Keltic (Irish) folk tale books in
