Subject: Re: UFO Magazine Folds After Editor's Death -

With the sad demise of UFO Magazine (UK), I would like to appeal
to the previous readership and contributors to support Flying
Saucer Review. I gather that they are also finding it difficult
to compete with the internet, cable TV, etc.

If everyone that used to buy UFO magazine or wrote articles for
it did the same for FSR, FSR may make it to the shelves of the
national magazine outlets.

I am unhappy with the standard of many of the recent (and I mean
10 years!) issues, there seems to be a lack of contributors. FSR
has also lost it's editor recently, and there was some
discussion at one time of a merger with UFO Magazine. If
everyone lends support to FSR, perhaps we can regain a
news-stand UFO journal?

If anyone wants to take out a subscription, you can do so on-
line at:

http://www.fsr.org.uk/

Also, I recently received a CD from FSR with scanned copies of
their first 17 issues (1955-57). I shall be writing a (very
positive!) review of this shortly. It can also be bought at the
bargain price (in my opinion) of =A313 (I don't remember whether
or not that included postage, I suspect not). Bear in mind that
original copies of these issues would definitely cost in excess
of L100, possibly as much as L400!
