Subject: Friedman Pummels McGaha In Debate

Hello All,

In watching the Friedman/McGaha Debate video last night, it was
no surpise that Stan was in rare form and McGaha certainly was
out of his league on this one!

Stan's presentation was informative, direct and to the point.
His key points, in his introduction, I felt were a wise choice,
and his overall delivery was superb as usual. The occasional
quip I thought was a plus to his stage presence, and enabled
the audience to relate to him. His summation was heartfelt, and
by that point the audience was wholeheartedly in the Friedman

On the flipside I felt that McGaha was unorganized, awkward and
nervous. Although he talked a lot about science, he didn't seem
to provide any data, other then rehashing the same old rants
that have been used against Ufology for decades. I found it hard
to believe that he believed what he was saying! It was almost
comical in the sense that he seemed to exhibit all of Friedman's
debunking factors - and doing it while standing next to Stan:

1). What the public doesn't know, we certainly won't tell them.

2). My mind is made up, don't bother me with the facts.

3). If one can't attack the data, attack the people. It is

4). Do one's research by proclamation rather than investigation.

Finally, at the end during the Q & A session, it seemed that
McGaha "morphed into a politician" as I don't believe he
answered any questions directed toward him! At this point, it
seemed as if McGaha didn't want to be there.
