Thanks for the free advice, which is worth every penny of it.

So the scientific method (not sure what the quotes are supposed
to imply) has been profoundly discredited, eh? That will indeed
be news to the NASA JPL scientists currently investigating
Saturn, Dick Haines, Bruce Maccabee, the National Institutes of
Health, and many many others. Might as well close down the labs
and go home.

Also, for the record I am not a grumpy old man. I'm a grumpy
young man, and getting grumpier by the day as I see mystics and
New Agers trying to take over the UFO field. As I dodder into
the sunset I will continue to fight for scientific rationality.
