Fairies? Little Green Men? How 'bout 'Changelings'?

I remember looking at news clippings from the Poughkeepsie
Journal that went back to the late 1700s. It wasn't called the
Poughkeepsie Journal then it was something like 'The
Poughkeepsie Eagle' or something. Mind you Poughkeepsie is a
city 75 miles north of NY City and is 300 + years old.

I remember it was 1835 or '36 an article about 'Fairie Rings'
was in the paper. It detailed a farmer concerned with the rash
of 'Fairie Rings' that were cropping up and something about farm
animals being disturbed by them. I first thought of crop
circles which I recall vividly walking through in that region
when it was big time dairy and farming country. They were called
'Fairie Rings' back then too. Last I recalled was probably '78
on the old Van Wagner Road.

Those old newspaper articles were chock full of stories of 'wee
folk', 'fairies', 'ghosts' and suprisingly 'changelings'.

It never ceases to amaze me that recorded history is full of
these stories and people took them quite seriously back then
without the sniping, harrassment and knucklewalking invalidation
we get from so-called experts and govt. yet it's a-okay to say what
was an old comedian 'Flip Wilson' gag: "The Devil made me do it!"

What also got me was these fairie ring things had similar properties
to what I saw in a Stanton Friedman lecture where he showed
samples of UFO landing trace soil reactions to water. Dry and
wouldn't absorb water. I believe they were Mr. Ted Phillips' soil
sample results.

These stories went on for well past into the 60's. I'll bet if I
ask the old farming families about them they'll have lots of
data on the fairie ring stuff.

As for LGMs, I recall old comic book stories from the 30s with
aliens in them that were green. I'll ask some of the comic gurus
I know for references.

Changelings? I remember as a kid parents would actually put
things in the room with the baby to prevent changelings! I think
people still do it.

Best,

Greg
