The evidence is very clear that Bruce Maccabee received >the money directly from MUFON given to them by Ed Walters. What evidence is "very clear"? You have the claim by Vicki Lyons and Rex Salsbury that Ed paid some money to MUFON. They don't know how much. (I conjecture that it wasn't much, but I don't know.) Did Lyons and Salisberry say MUFON then paid me or is that conjecture on your part? I received no money from MUFON, although MUFON did cover my expenses to attend the MUFON symposium in July (MUFON always pays the expenses of the speakers.) They probably also paid me an honorarium for speaking (typically $100.00). >I can understand you having respect for a friend that you have >known for 40 years. However, the evidence is very clear. Mr. >Bruce Maccabee may have not have been totally honest when he >said that he did not know that Ed Walters had given money to >MUFON for the sole purpose of investigating the Gulf Breeze >case. >If Vicky Lyons and Charles Flannagan both had this information, >it would be illogical to think Mr. Maccabee would not have known >this. The telephone call between Rex Salisberry and Ed Walters >affirms that the payment was made and certainly Maccabee should >have known. Perhaps Vicki or Rex can also state the amount? At any rate, I didn't receive any money from MUFON. Since you have not liked my conclusion that Ed Walters case is real you are alleging that my conclusion is a result of a large "payoff" by Walters to me through either MUFON or the FUND. This is a serious charge which I deny. Meanwhile, there is the case itself: all of the sightings and photos, etc. You have presented arguments against the case in the past but for some reason your arguments have degenerated to baseless allegations. Where is the UFO science in that?
