What do you mean, "a lack of a scientific journal"?

Two scientific journals serve ufology. One is the Journal of UFO
Studies (JUFOS), published by CUFOS, and the other - not
exclusively ufological in content, but a frequent publisher of
scientific UFO papers - is the Journal of Scientific
Exploration, published by the Society for Scientific Exploration

Ufology, everybody knows, has lots of problems, but one of them
is not that it has no outlets for refereed academic papers. One
problem, however, may be to get ufologists to subscribe to and
otherwise support them. Knowing they exist is at least a start.
