Oops squared!

If Martin made a dumb error then I dumbly copied it. In the
message I sent before I calculated speeds based on 1/125 sec.
For 1/250 sec the speeds are doubled. In particular, the time
that the object could have been within the cameraman's forward
field of view would have been cut in half to about 1.5 sec. So,
if he blinked before or after taking the photo he would't have
seen it. As for other people seeing it, they wodl have half as
much time (30 sec to go from near horizon to near horizon if a
straight flight).

The conclusion is the same, however. The flight of a bird must
be ruled out before "escalation of hypotheses" (J. Allen Hynek)
