Richard, By "more science" do you mean something similar to this
quote by James Randi:

"Science is best defined as a careful, disciplined, logical
search for knowledge about any and all aspects of the universe,
obtained by examination of the best available evidence and
always subject to correction and improvement upon discovery of
better evidence. What's left is magic. And it doesn't work."

If so, then I think most of the List members would agree.

You'll have to be a bit more specific than these clich=E9d
exaggerations. Your characterizations don't fit the List I read
every day.

There are tons of qualified people looking at the UFO mystery.
And most don't require any additional funds to carry out
successful research and discovery. The problem is that most UFO
research is being ignored by the scientific establishment for
political reasons, not scientific.

It is not that simple. Again, you need to be more specific, but
I sure don't see things this way. The "kooks, con-men, and ax-
grinders( whatever that might mean)" are not a major
distraction. We are all being skillfully manunipulated and
ignored by powerful forces for reasons we don't understand.

>Basically, there is no such thing in any meaningful sense as

No, there are many dedicated people!

>who have tried

I disagree. We've been very successful in convincing the general
public that there is/has been a cover-up of UFO information by
powerful interests.
