Hi Everyone!

It is interesting to note that exactly thirty years ago this
January, Dennis Prophet, a resident of Scarborough, Ontario (now
part of the City of Toronto) had a UFO sighting that not only
changed his life but resulted in Canada's first UFO research van
- one that was just as impressive and nearly outrageous as the
van spotted in Arizona.

His UFO van contained much investigative equipment, including a
telephone (a big deal then!) and an electromagnetic UFO
detector. Prophet's van was also equipped with a transparent dome
skylight for a large telescope which he used for UFO searches at
night. He was a member of MUFON and founder of his own UFO
group, Reptune Research.

There are a few ufologists and UFO enthusiasts, such as
Toronto's TV newswriter Mike Woods who drives around in a
vehicle with the license plate 'UFO GUY', that are always
prepared with binoculars and cameras in their cars for their
next encounter with UFOs.

While doing a search for any others out there who like Prophet
operated their own UFO vans, I came across this, unrelated but
interesting article, (see below) which reminded me that many vans
in the past had beds in them too!
