Listers,

I made an error in my figures.

The azimuth of the sun at 14:52pm, for Whittlesea Australia
(Lat: 37 31' South, Long: 145, 07' East), on January 15 2004
would have been 275.6. The Altitude would have been 43.4.

Date and time are ascertained from the EXIF data, embedded
within the image.

However, if the camera was not set to take account of daylight
saving time, then the actual local time would have been 13:52.
This corresponds to the photographer's statement that the
pictures were taken "about 2pm" (Hearldsun newspaper article).

If this was the case, then the azimuth would have been 287.6
and the altitude 55.1

In respect to the direction that the photographer was facing, he
states "I took about 10 or 12 photos, facing east and west"
(Hearldsun newspaper article).

Apologies for the mistake!

Best to all,

Dan
