Subject: Resend: Colin Andrew's Lightning UFO Photo

A resend (with added link) because of mailing problems

I have received the following from Colin Andrews the well known
crop circle researcher. I wonder if photographic experts on this
List could comment on what they make of this image?

---

Object on film during severe thunderstorm for analysis. Any
thoughts or ideas are appreciated.

The object was in a series of long exposure photographs I took
during a severe thunderstorm on the 22nd July 1983, in Salisbury
Road, Andover, England =96 facing south east. The object is also
on the negative.

The object appears to be positioned precisely between two
separate triggers.

The object was not seen at the time. One of these series of
strikes hit a 132,000 Volts overhead transmission wire and put
the power out to most of the town that night. None of the 30
photographs taken during the storm have anything unusual on
them.

Details: Approximately one minute exposure, using the =91B=92
setting at F11-16 on the Chinon 35 mm camera. Film was 100 ASA
Fuji, high definition film.

In a subsequent message Colin wrote:

"I have attached another two photographs from the long sequence
of photos I took that night. I still have the negatives etc=85

It has not been analyzed before.

One of the two shots attached to this e-mail was published in
the local Andover newspaper because during my photographic
mission that night, one of the strokes hit a high voltage cable
(within the photo frame) and put the lights out in the town.
The headline read something like 'What a Cracker'. The actual
shot with the object on has _not_ been published.

I am sorting through a lot of my material and just three days
ago came back to my file with weather photos I had taken. I had
noticed this object a few years ago but long forgot about it
until now. The more I looked at it on this computer, the more
impressed I became and so decided to send it to a few people I
thought would be interested.

Note from Dave Haith. The picture is now at:
