Aaaaamen!

This fear of ridicule issue is the most powerful force in human
existence I dread!

It's so strong people will kill others and themselves because of
it. Yet these same people will go to a sports arena, wear a
giant 'cheese' hat, scrawl 'your team bites' on their bare beer
bellies whilst appearing on international television! Yet that's
because they're just 'kidding around'.

Acceptance of the group. Teasing, taunting. Many a war has
started over this foolishness. I remember in anthropology class
in college the average age of humans throughout history was late
teens to twenty somethings. Makes sense.

What really cracks me up is one will watch any disaster
situation on the news and some fellow will inevitably stand up
before a camera, strewn wreckage all about him and state how he
escaped the carnage due to some deity or 'wee folk' or some
'Wishnick' he had tied around his rear view mirror.

Yet if he'd said a corporeal non-human entity he suspects or
declared was from another planet was responsible he'd be carted
off to the nearest psychiatric facility.

Reality and sanity are based not on perception but by what's
comfortable by the powers that be and the masses follow.

Buck that trend and you're dropped off on the island of Patmos.

Best,

Greg
