Lisa Stewart says she can see lights of perfect circles which have a pronounced X at their centre. The 36-year-old first saw the beams six years ago and took some photographs but thought little more about them. The Evening Argus reports Lisa's children have also seen the lights. Similar light shapes have been seen in Norway, Germany, Slovenia, Canada and the US. The paper says they have also been spotted on the walls of the Jarvis Hotel in Guildford, Surrey. Lisa said: "I think they are a strange phenomenon, on a par with crop circles. I know other people have seen them but I think you have to be receptive to them. Maybe I've seen them because I've been looking for them." Authorities are investigating several sightings of a mysterious blue ball hovering in Dimbulagala. A local UFO enthusiast says aliens are probably studying technology used to construct ancient buildings. Sanjaya Bandara said: "They might have travelled to our ancient sites to find a key to the mysteries of the universe." A TV reporter claims to have seen the object hovering over a sacred cliff for more than a week. Gamini Obeysekara, who works for the government channel Rupavahini, said: "It took three days for me to get this strange blue light on video tape. It seemed to heading towards the sacred areas." Dimbulagala, in north central Sri Lanka, houses historical ruins dating back to the first century AD. A team of astrophysicists from the University of Colombo are investigating the reported sightings. Dr Chandana Jayaratne said: "We cannot be sure until we completely verify the story. It could well turn out to be fabricated." Story filed: 15:52 Monday 17th June 2002
