Hi Dr. Macc, thanks for the input! :)

If it were true ack-ack fire & not just 'carved' from a
lightbeam, I'd say no, 'cause then we'd have a 'trail' from
shrapnel.

I'm guessing that there was no firing at this moment, so the
Artist at the LA Times cleverly created some fireworks by
cropping with indian ink!

The question is, how much did he touch?
