Hi Don,

My statement about the Mantell family is based on two programs
(sorry I don't recall the title of one of them) where the
Mantell family was assembled and interviewed regarding the death
of their son/brother, etc. They expressed their anger over the
Air Force's handling of the case and they expressed their own
belief that the AF was 'covering something up' in regard to the
crash. ie; lying to them about it.

The second program is a documentary that was made in 1956 called
'UFO - The True Story Of Flying Saucers' where they re-enacted
the whole incident using the _testimony_ of the men who were in
the tower at the time as 'dialog'. Kevin Randle says the object
in question was later found to be a "balloon", but that
contradicts the observations and testimony of the tower
personnel who were actually _there_ (present) when the incident
took place.

They _all_ agree that what they saw was a "metallic disc". I'll
take their word over Kevin's or the Air Force's about what was
in the sky that day and subsequently 'chased' by Mantell. I wish
I could recall the name of the program that featured the Mantell
family. It aired just a few years ago. Maybe a Listerion can
help out with this one. It was one of those 'first person(s)'
interviews that anyone interested in the case should listen to.

And... everyone should get their mitts on a copy of the 1956
documentary, 'UFO - The True Story Of Flying Saucers'. All of
the early (major) UFO cases are reported. Including detailed
reporting on the overflight of the nation's capitol by several
UFOs on two sequential week-ends in 1952.

The report is taken directly from the testimony of Albert Chop
who was the Pentagon's media spokesman at the time. Truly
fascinating and compelling testimony from a man that started out
as a hard core skeptic of the whole UFO phenomenon.

The video is available through MGM Home Video for about $14.00
US funds. If you treat yourself to _any_ UFO videos make sure
you include this one.
