Bill,

This message hardly contains answers to any points I brought up.

 >>Bill,

 >>Many people have a reduced copy of their 214 in their wallets.
 >>The VFW use to make such copies for members. Almost all
 >>employers want a copy of your 214 when you apply for employment.

 >Sorry, I have never seen a wallet-sized one. Why not lock it a
 >way in a safe box like I do.

 >>I am rather surprised that you are jumping on Kevin about this
 >>especially when it concerns self-confessed hoaxer Mel Noel.

 >Self-confessed? Never heard his confession.

Maybe you have "heard" his confession, but you can read it here:

http://www.virtuallystrange.net/ufo/updates/1997/aug/m29-017.shtml

On-air admission

In October of 1969, Mel Noel/Guy Kirkwood walked into the studio
of Channel 9. The program was Robert Dornan's Tempo, and when
Kirkwood came out he said "Hi Bob, I know your brother." Host
Bob Dornan had invited both Mel and Don Dornan onto the show to
"hash over" the story. Don Dornan immediately called Kirkwood on
the carpet, asking him to state his real name. "Noall Bryce
Cornwell," replied Kirkwood.

Then Dornan dropped his bombshell: "Noall Bryce Cornwell is not
a pilot and never has been a pilot. All known aliases also show
no record of you holding a pilot's license." (Kirkwood did later
get a second-class pilot's license.) Bob Dornan then asked,
"Were you a commissioned Air Force pilot at any time?" Kirkwood
replied, "No sir."

---

This was excerpted from Don's article. The one which you stated
had inaccuracies. Did you even read Don's article? If so, why
would you make a statement like the one you did above?

 >The bottom line is Guy does not really care if UFO investigators
 >believe him or not and I cannot make him prove himself.

Good, then investigators should ignore his claptrap.

 >I have known him for 25+ years and have seen photos over the
 >years of him in a Sabre jet in full flight gear and a few other
 >photos that look as good as some of the photos from Edwards.

Sorry, that it not proof of anything.

 >He chooses not to make the docs he has public for reasons of his
 >own.

Another words he runs around the country tell these tall tales.
Then, when it come time to provide the proof he has his own
reasons for not doing so. This is about as lame an excuse as I
have ever heard. It is reason enough to disregard anything he
says!

 >As a last word, Guy Mel Noel Kirkwood does fall for schemes thus
 >he himself is painted as a flim-flam man which I can make no
 >excuse for, but the details of his story have been consistent
 >for 25 years and I have seen him talk in a room with other
 >pilots who have no trouble with his technical verbage.

I don't understand this last sentence at all. What schemes
did Kirkwood fall for? What exactly does that have to do with
Kirkwood's tall tales?

Of course, confidence men's tale have to be consistent and have
to get the jargon right. This proves nothing!

This last is contradicted again by Don's article.

Finally, why does Cornwell/Kirkwood/Noel need to use alaises if
his story is so good. His recent appearance have him droping the
Mel Noel name, telling the stories under the name Guy Kirkwood.

 >-Bill H

Bill, you have failed to provide the research which you have
done on these claims.

Also, you have failed to provide the inaccuracies you stated in
previous messages were in Don's article.

I still look forward to your answer
