Well, the Northern Paiutes were at one time ubiquitous in the
West. There is an arrow pile left by those folks near Lakeview,
Oregon, that covers roughly an acre. They suddenly disappeared.
There is a lot of pottery, arrowheads etc. left by them. I went
on a couple of digs looking for evidence of a camp when I was on
an anthropology course back in the early 70's.

I don't recall him saying they were green, however. <g>

Well, Jim was given to ah, embellishing a good story. however he
may have run into the reminant of the Northern Paiutes, there
was good evidence that they were in decline before the white man
came.
