ITALIAN UFO NEWSFLASH

ISSUE NO. 353 - 3 MAY 2002

by the Italian Center for UFO Studies
(Centro Italiano Studi Ufologici, CISU)

Contents:

- The C.I.S.U. at the International Book Fair
- A Half-Million Visitors at "UFO On-Line"
- "Stargate Magazine" Returns, but only on the Internet

THE C.I.S.U. AT THE INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR

The Italian Center for Ufological Studies and its publications
will make an appearance at the International Book Fair.

For the first time, in fact, the books, monographs and
periodicals from UPIAR Publications will be displayed at a booth
at the largest gathering devoted to the Italian publishing
sector, taking place from 16 to 20 May at the Lingotto Fair in
Turin, with an expected 200,000 visitors in attendance.

CISU members, UFO students and buffs are invited to
take advantage of the occasion and pay us a visit. For
more details, you may contact the C.I.S.U. secretary
at the usual telephone and e-mail addresses.

A HALF-MILLION VISITORS AT UFO ON-LINE

The half-million visitors mark has been surpassed on the sole
Homepage of the Internet site 'UFO On-line', which is edited for
the Italian Center for UFO Studies by Maurizio Verga at:

http://www.ufo.it

What was in 1995 the first Italian UFO site on the Internet,
besides being the largest as far as the number of pages and
the quantity of data, still remains the most popular of its
kind among browsers of the World Wide Web, the site having
distanced itself in one manner or another from all the others.
[Communication by Maurizio Verga.]

'STARGATE MAGAZINE' RETURNS, BUT ONLY ON THE INTERNET

In anticipation of its continually-announced but forever-
postponed return to the newsstands, and on the heels of the
failure of the Futuro Publ. Co., "Stargate" magazine by
Maurizio Baiata is returning (on a pay-per-view basis) to the
Internet.

In fact, the new company 'Web2000' announced the startup of the
website www.stargatejournal.it, with some sections accessible
for free and others with texts and articles available only to
subscribers who, after having paid a monthly fee of 5 Euro (with
a sliding-scale discount for lengthier subscriptions), would
then be entitled to additional services. [Communication by Gildo
Person=E8.]

Collaborators on this edition were: Gildo Person=E8 and
Maurizio Verga.
