Hello Dick,

Your 50+ years of involvement in UFO research has allowed you to
perceive 'cycles' that many others are unaware of. It is just
one of the reasons why you are such a valuable asset to have
available on the List. Your feedback is _always_ appreciated. :)

I chuckle when I see posts that make the same suggestions for
forming a 'central committee or board' for ufology(ists,) as if
the idea had never been mentioned before. I don't consider
myself a "researcher" so I usually just read your proposals as
opposed to responding to them. But I am surprised at the lack of
response from others. (Researchers, your peers, that participate
on this List) Apathy and a lack of response from both sides of
the Atlantic. The silence at times can be deafening.

I suppose that actually "doing something" as opposed to gumming
it to death, smacks of too much effort for some folks. ;)

But please, by all means, keep plugging away. The suggestions
you have made (if implemented) would gain 'ufology' some of the
stability and credibility it so badly needs - and deserves.

Why indeed! But as I have stated before; I have sat across the
table from Joe Nickel and others of his stripe and I have always
found them to be 'easy meat' in an open debate situation. Their
position on so many things is untenable and downright
indefensible. It doesn't take much to topple their 'Castles Made
of Sand'. :)

Re: the media... I'm careful...

re: abusers... I have learned to ignore them. In some cases to
feel sorry for them. Although I must admit that until I
developed a callous, it did hurt. And as any guitar player will
tell you, a callous doesn't develop overnight. ;)

 >Riddle me that, Joker.

Dick the only thing I'd like to 'riddle' is the winner(s) of the
first two races at Belmont Park tomorrow. Any psychics out

 >Keep up the good work, my friend.

I always give it my 'best.'

BTW, I have learned a _ton_ by studying your latest book. Thank
you for all the effort that had to go into producing such a
richly detailed and informative work. I highly recommend that
those who have not yet secured a copy do so asap. It is one of
those 'necessary' books to have in your library. Besides being
an engrossing and entertaining read, it doubles as an excellent
reference book for a _large_ number of cases. At 700 plus pages
it is an 'all the UFOs you can eat' buffet for any serious
student of the subject.

Warmest regards,

John Velez
