I couldn't agree with you more, Kevin, but it won't stop either
the hoaxers or the enablers. And if those with real research and
high quality information stop appearing simply because they don't
want to be on the same stage as trash, then all that will be left

My suggestion to boycott was really just wishful thinking. You
and I both know few people are able or willing to descriminate
between what may be fact and what may be fiction. As long as
there is an audience for junk media, it will survive and thrive.

This does not, however, mean we must give up. What I'd like to
see are more programs that focus on genuine research rather than
the usual mix of New Age-Spiritualism-UFO-Alien-poopourri. I'd
give my right...foot to attend a small, research oriented
conference in which only a few qualified researchers present
over a large, mixed bag, anyone-can-share conference.
Unfortunately, those who organize conferences (and TV, radio
programs) focus more on entertainment than on research and don't
seem to recognize the difference.
