I have to admit a great deal of puzzlement over Meier. On the
face of it, he seems an obvious hoaxer. And some of his photos
do, indeed, seem to be rather crude fakes.

However, there are other photos from him which are much more
difficult to explain, and I am currently looking as some of them
which Wendelle Stevens has kindly loaned me. Those showing
multiple UFOs passing behind tree branches are the ones most
difficult to consider as hoaxes.

It is a shame that all of the available material is so far
removed from first generation, since this makes definitive
analysis practically impossible.
